We are going to find time within the meetings to learn about our members and attempt to bring forth a lighter atmosphere by trying to make whatever we%u2019re doing more enjoyable.%u201dFocus Issues for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber%u201cWhen you%u2019re involved with the Chamber, you%u2019re not just tapped into meeting people and networking,%u201d she said. %u201cYou%u2019re also tapped into what%u2019s going on from a policy perspective and being exposed to the issues that matter to the business community.%u201dNorris-Weeks cited focus issues for 2024, including ensuring thatGreater Fort Lauderdale has a viable workforce, with housingin place that%u2019s affordable for the workers, a good transportationsystem and an environment that works for business.She looks forward to working closely with Chamber President/CEO Dan Lindblade.%u201cDan understands the big picture and he has a lot of great relationships that the Chamber has benefitted from over the years,%u201d she said. %u201cHe%u2019s a respected leader who understands the local business community and how pieces of the puzzle fit together when something needs to get done.%u201dSimilarly, Lindblade says it will be a pleasure to work with Burnadette Norris-Weeks during 2024. %u201cBurnadette has a clear idea of what she wants to accomplish in her year and I am thrilled to be able to work with her to achieve an even stronger economy,%u201d he said. %u201cHer background and experience is a perfect fit for the Chamber at this time.
