The %u201cLas Olas%u201d wall mural by solo artist Lori Pratico is a cheerful welcome to the Boulevard. The vibrant piece embraces the tropical spirit and classy heritage of the Boulevard. Her mural adorns the walkway between 619 and 621 E Las Olas Blvd. The wall mural was generously donated by BBX Capital and curated by the Business of Arts for Broward. %u201cLas Olas Boulevard is Fort Lauderdale%u2019s premier destination and Lori%u2019s mural provides a welcoming and visual experience for residents and visitors as they enter the Boulevard,%u201d said Jarett Levan, President and CEO of BBX Capital and Chairman of Business for the Arts of Broward. The mural promotes Las Olas Boulevard and supports Fort Lauderdale%u2019s growing public art scene. We thank The Las Olas Company for collaborating with us and providing a canvas on which to share the Las Olas mural.%u201d Kudos to Lori for realizing a dream she envisioned over 30 years ago when she first visited Las Olas and was in awe of the art galleries. %u201cThe mural is intended to be a joyous tribute to Las Olas, using vibrant hues and a contemporary depiction of the palm leaf,%u201d said Lori Pratico.
