8 Stepping into Something GreatThe Las Olas Association is committed to celebrating the businesses of Las Olas Boulevard and cultivating a space for the community to come together. With a plan to elevate the natural charm of Las Olas Boulevard, the Association aims to provide more intentional initiatives and promotional strategies for our members. As the newly hired Executive Director, I am honored to work alongside such kind, hardworking and community-driven people. I have already learned a great deal about the Boulevard, our members and myself%u2026both professionally and personally. A Look at the Las Olas Association%u2019s New Marketing StrategiesWith a fresh set of tools, the Las Olas Association is transforming how it promotes its members. From social media campaigns that highlight the essence of Las Olas Boulevard and its unique businesses to thumb-stopping newsletters that grab and keep our readers%u2019 attention. We are updating our already distinguished website to reflect the dynamic growth of our city and the evolution of Las Olas Boulevard. All while continuing to serve as a trusted, top-level resource for locals and visitors alike. The Association is setting new standards for service by introducing opportunities that take our digital marketing platforms to the next level. We are now offering even more resources for members to develop and curate content specifically tailored to their brand. This approach not only enhances the visibility of individual businesses but also strengthens the reputation of Las Olas Boulevard and the Association. I%u2019m proud to be working with our new LOA Board and all of our members to advance the integral role of the Las Olas Association in promoting our world famous Las Olas Boulevard to the residents and visitors of South Florida and beyond.LOA Update continuedamazing piece that not only won a place, but also sold. YAY! Nella! The annual juried art exhibition showcased all things culture including art, food & music in the heart of Fort Lauderdale on Las Olas at the 200,201 & 301 corporate office buildings. This event brings together arts advocates and business leaders who are encouraged to support our local artists in a mission to foster cultural vitality, creative success and economic development. The Riverwalk International Food Festival held on the 13th was a culinary feast and showcased the many cultures we all enjoy here locally. The Hip Hop Kidz performed and entertained us all with their youthful energy. The Smoke on the Water BBQ Festival, held on the 20th was noticed from blocks away as that ever so familiar yummy BBQ aroma was filling the air. The pulled pork, ribs, and cold brews made for a perfect Saturday. Father%u2019s Day is on Sunday, June 16th so make your ressies for brunch or dinner on Las Olas well in advance for that special %u201cMom%u201d or %u201cDad%u201d in your life. Also in May is the return of the AirDotShow, aka the Fort Lauderdale Air Show. This event is headed to Fort Lauderdale on May 11-12th, for its 2nd destination of the 2024 tour. Plan to experience a thrilling and thunderous aviation event over our world class beaches. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Ghost Squadron, and the Red Bull Air Force, just to name a few, will be flying high and low in the air. It really is a spectacular event.
