Yes, by now, you know that our beloved Florida Panthers had their claws out for the competition and won the NHL%u2019s Stanley Cup in dramatic Game 7 win on Monday, June 24, at Amerant Bank Arena inSunrise. All eyes throughout South Florida were glued to the every move of the Cats throughout late June, with thetension palpable and drama building going into the %u2018all or nothing%u2019 Game 7.This year%u2019s run for the Stanley Cup had Panther fans in an uproar%u2026Panther shirts were (and still are!) being worn everywhere. Las Olas Boulevard has been flying the Panthers flags proudly. The Amerant Arena reported more than a 25% rise in attendance with sales revenues up over 50% during the series. According to the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the Panthers have created at least a $110 million impact on the local economy over the past two seasons. And the Stanley Cup series alone is estimated to have had a $25+ million impact locally.As the buzzer sounded to end the game with a 2-1 Panthers victory and the first-ever Stanley Cup win for the franchise, the fans in Amerant and throughout South Florida went wild%u2026and the celebration has continued ever since! We congratulate the Florida Panthers for their tireless efforts and enthusiasm at bringing home the Stanley Cup.
